About Us
Astuta Trading (Pty) Ltd designed and developed the Stars Financial Software product range. These products have been developed to automate the business processes of lenders and borrowers in the securities lending industry.
About the Team
Marius de Wet is the Managing Director of Astuta Trading (Pty) Ltd. He is using his extensive experience and market knowledge to lead the business strategy for the company and the development of the Stars system. He has been managing business analysts, software development teams, project managers and managing projects for more than 23 years in the financial and retail industries. Through Marius’ involvement in different roles on many successful projects, he has acquired strong project management skills, and deep and wide business knowledge on stock lending and swap business, stock broking, equity and bond markets, treasury and banking from front office to operations, and finance. He started his career as an electronic engineer doing radar hardware and software design. He then did network design before moving to project management and software development. Marius holds an Honours degree in Electronic Engineering as well as a Masters in Business Leadership degree.
Andre Cornelius, General Manager, based in Johannesburg, has twenty-five years of experience in the Securities Finance market. Andre’s current focus is to provide a professional client service that caters to all clients’ needs. He is recognised for his expertise as a Corporate Action Specialist, and a Securities Lending & Borrowing, and Equities (CFD, Swaps) Manager. Andre is well-known in the Securities Financial market.
